THE COMPANY

The Childhay Manor story began in the early 1980s when Tim Frost (founder) started producing ice cream from milk produced by his dairy herd at Childhay Manor Farm in Beaminster, Dorset. The business was purchased by Cricket St Thomas Dairies in the mid-eighties and latterly purchased by Jeff Munro in the early nineties, who moved production to Yarde Farm in Devon, who then owned half the brand.

​Now a wholesale ice cream brand, Childhay Manor supplies ice cream parlours, restaurants, event spaces and much more. 

 

THE LOGO

The logo draws inspiration from the classic Childhay Manor design and contemporary gelato shops, merging its heritage with a fresh, modern vibe.

Its solid colour provides versatility throughout the brand. We aimed to incorporate vibrant hues that reflect the bold flavours, perfectly complementing the ice cream parlours by the seaside.

PHOTOGRAPHY

We wanted our photography to capture the brands customer-focused approach. Our goal was to showcase the rich flavours and high-quality products, evoking the joy of visiting the seaside and savouring ice cream. This imagery is mainly utilised on social media and our website.

FLYERS & BROCHURES

The brand primarily targets consumers but also needs to serve wholesale businesses. This is mainly achieved through flyers and brochures that highlight offers, point-of-sale promotions, and showcase how the brand would appear in each individual store. Consequently, paying close attention to detail is crucial for success in the wholesale market.

WEBSITE

Childhay Manor faced a significant challenge as it was outdated and primarily served its existing clientele. Our goal was to broaden its appeal through modernisation. The absence of a website was a critical gap that needed to be addressed.

The new website is designed for both suppliers and businesses, serving as a central hub for showcasing offerings, including the product range and point of sale, while also providing a means for potential partners to connect and become part of the Childhay Manor family.

MISCELLANEOUS

Childhay Manor offers a diverse array of branding formats, making clarity and boldness essential. The selected colours and typefaces enabled us to create graphics for trucks, freezer units in parlours, uniforms, and trade show signage. This versatility has helped us expand the brand and elevate Childhay Manor to its current standing.
