THE COMPANY
Thorner's is a West Country farm shop, butchery, and restaurant located in Pylle. They are dedicated to providing high-quality meat and luxury handmade products. Like their customers, they value the source of their meat and the benefits it brings. As farmers, they have a deep understanding of what goes into producing the best meat, which is why they consistently support traditional British farming whenever possible.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Thorner's prides itself on its quality produce, and it was always important to capture this in beautiful lifestyle shots. It was important to use their in house chefs to perfectly display each product.
As a traditional Somerset business it was also important to showcase this within the images. Rustic settings and on site images were key to this.
BROCHURES
Thorner's needed many brochure, including retail and catering promotions, to Christmas campaigns. These would all cater to different audiences so it was important to capture that in each.
The largest would be the Christmas brochure, which would act as a click and collect for premium products over the festive period. This would need to be in keeping with the main brand but a separate campaign. Inspiration was taken from high end food outlets. Challenges faced included internal order forms to print separately and attach, then campaigns to coincide for shops which included FSDUs and posters.
WEBSITE
The website was to act as a hub for many things. Primarily the aim was to use it as an information centre and background to the business such as history and accreditations, as well as Restaurant menus and distribution areas.
We wanted the website bright and welcoming, with a rustic feel. The lifestyle shots went a long way to creating this.
POINT OF SALE
Thorner's products can be found across the entire South of England, and because of this, I set about creating and sourcing Point of Sale for stores. This included pavement signs, banners, flags, posters and shelving artwork, all in keeping with the brand.
MISCELLANEOUS
A range of POS such as swing signs, flags and posters were then provided, to be sold in conjunction with large orders and to gain traction in the industry, we provided these as a package to elevate and assist businesses with simple call to actions and clear imagery of whats on offer.
This also included warmer units with magnetic branding to attach to the front for shops, which are sold along with a selection of free stock. The main challenge was to make sure the branding could withstand the warmer temperatures as they would be left on every day.
Trade shows are an important aspect of the business, and most of these shows comes is in the form of free samples. Our aim was to provide simple backdrops set in lightboxes to stand out. The products would do the talking, so we just wanted simple call to actions and clear branding for the business.
Finally in terms of large scale graphics we created Lorry graphics. These once again focused on simple graphics and information, informing the public at high speed and leaving now doubt what the business offers.
